Exhibition "A Separate Story

On December 11 (Wednesday) at 5:00 pm we invite you to the Foyer Gallery for the opening of the exhibition - free admission.
The exhibition is open until January 3, 2025, Monday through Friday (except 24-27.12. and 01.01.) from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and during events - free admission.
"The exhibition "A Separate Story" is a collection of paintings that are peculiar plant improvisations. The paintings were painted over the past few years. The colors and forms used in them build up, sharpen and blur, and I - while painting - react to how they change.
The starting point is always color.
The next step is the selection of sketches; their translation onto the plane of the canvas. Then comes the slow growth of the painting (through many mutations, discolorations, rubbings and layers) and finally the finished painting - as far from the first color and sketch as if it had grown without the artist's participation. Perhaps this is why vegetation is such a frequent motif in my paintings. The process of its spontaneous growth and branching on the plane seems to be the most natural for this painting process.
The title of the exhibition, "A Separate Story," says that even our own painting can surprise us with its final shape and meaning, we just help it grow." - Izabela Wolska
