Three Cycling Tours, Three Ways to Discover the Region
Over 200 participants in the rally could choose one of three guided cycling tours. Each started at a different location and offered a slightly different way to reach the common finish line at the Centre of Slavs and Vikings in Wolin.
Szczecin – Wolin. A Cycling Journey Through West Pomerania
This option was ideal for those who wanted to complete the entire route by bike. Participants set off from the area near Dąbie bathing beach in Szczecin, with a rest stop planned in Stepnica along the way. The route combined physical activity with the opportunity to admire the region’s landscapes and cover the kilometres together.
Szczecin – Stepnica – Wolin. A Boat Trip and Cycling Adventure
The second group began the event with a boat trip from Szczecin to Stepnica, where participants continued by bike towards Wolin. This option combined travel by water with active exploration of the region. The combination of two modes of transport offered a different perspective on West Pomerania and allowed participants to enjoy both the boat trip and cycling together.
Goleniów – Wolin. Cycling Towards the Common Finish Line
The third tour started in Goleniów, from where cyclists set off towards Wolin. It was another opportunity to actively explore the region in the company of fellow cycling enthusiasts. Participants rode together along the route before joining the other groups for the rally’s grand finale.
All three groups shared one common goal – meeting in Wolin , where participants could enjoy further attractions, connect with one another and celebrate the end of their cycling adventure.
Cycling Excitement at the Finish Line
The participants were welcomed at the finish line by an event full of attractions and positive energy. The programme included a cycling prize draw, which brought extra excitement, as well as competitions to recognise the oldest and youngest participants in the rally.
Age was no obstacle to pursuing a passion for cycling! The oldest participant was an impressive 80 years old, while the youngest was just 7. This is the best proof that cycling can bring generations together and bring joy to people of all ages.
The Centre of Slavs and Vikings provided a particularly special setting for the finale, with its historical surroundings giving the event a unique character. The gathering in Wolin offered an opportunity to celebrate together, share experiences and look back on the kilometres covered.
West Pomerania Is Worth Exploring by Bike
The Wolin Star Cycling Rally 2026 promoted the Biking Szczecin Lagoon route, as well as the region’s natural beauty, landscapes and tourist attractions. Events like this encourage people to enjoy active leisure, discover lesser-known corners of the region and take advantage of the growing range of cycling tourism opportunities.
Thank you to all participants for joining us, sharing your energy and creating such a special atmosphere! More than 200 cyclists showed that the best way to discover West Pomerania is on the move – whatever the season.
See you on the next routes!
The rally was organised as part of the “Biking Szczecin Lagoon” project, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI A Mecklenburg-Vorpommern / Brandenburg / Poland 2021–2027 programme.
