The play is based on the biography of activist Milo Mazurkiewicz, who has not withstood the social and formal pressures that underpin the transition-inducing Poland. It is a story about identity, the struggle for oneself, the inner search. About self-acceptance, as well as social acceptance. It shows what the other is in our culture. Are we ready to accept all the varieties of our humanity or habits that do not allow us to enjoy our other identities. Are we stuck in a trap of sharp divisions in which we feel safe. What of those who do not fit into such a division? What is their place? Are we really tolerant or do we only pretend to be, and actually feel vulnerable? A story about how our humanity has more than one name. It is a praise of diversity.
The monodrama is performed by Filip Cembala.
