The collection "Posłuchaj..." (Listen...), published by Książnica Pomorska on the 120th anniversary of the library, contains previously unpublished poems by Helena Pachlowska, a poet whose creative legacy is partly held in the library's collection. The meeting will be hosted by Cecylia Judek. We cordially invite you to attend!
Helena Pachlowska – poet, translator, music teacher, born in 1946 in Harbin (China), associated with Szczecin. She has been writing poetry since her youth and won, among others, third prize in the 1st University Literary Competition "Student Literary Autumn 69". She has published in newspapers and magazines, including Pomerania (1997). She has published two volumes: Dojrzewają piaski (The Sands Are Maturing, 1990) and Każde miasto ma swoje sny (Every City Has Its Dreams, 1994). In the same year, she became a member of the Polish Writers' Association on the recommendation of Wiktor Woroszylski and Edward Balcerzan. She participated in literary sessions, including in Moldova, and conducted author meetings and poetry workshops. She died in 2020.
