16th Commando Festival

The 16th edition of the Commando Festival will take place in Dziwnów on August 22-24, 2025. A detailed program of the event is provided below. FRIDAY, August 22, 2025 (the Festival office will be open from 4:00 p.m.): - dioramas by Historical Reenactment Groups - promotional stands of military units (park) - military fair (park between Kochanowskiego and Parkowa streets) - start of the honorary blood donation campaign (Aleja Gwiazd Sportu) - the Polish Paratroopers Memorial Chamber will be open (8 Reymonta Street, entrance from the promenade). 4:30 p.m. - Display of equipment and weapons of military units of the Dziwnów Garrison (square at 8 Reymonta Street). - Demonstration of the sapper and engineering patrol (park). 5:00 p.m. - Roll call of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 1st Assault Battalion (Reymonta 8). - Games and activities for children and parents GRH Południe (park). 7:00 p.m. - Meeting of members of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 1st Assault Battalion (Żeglarska Restaurant). SATURDAY, August 23, 2025 (Festival office open from 9:00 a.m.): - Dioramas by Historical Reenactment Groups - Military unit promotional stands - Military fair - Honorary blood donation station. 9:00 a.m. - Roll call: presentation of commemorative awards. Welcome to the marchers for Miron and 56 priests. 10:00 a.m. - Concert by the band "Pipes&Drums" (amphitheater in the park). - Games and activities for children and parents GRH Południe (park). 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Visit to the JW4101 barracks (only former soldiers of the 1st Assault Battalion). 10:30 a.m. - Departure of shooting competition participants to Chynów (coach - meeting point at the POLOMarket car park). 11:00 a.m. - Display of weapons and equipment of the 1st Poznań Legion Regiment by GRH Nałęcz (amphitheater in the park). 1:00 p.m. - Reenactment of "Soldiers at the End of the War" (GRH Nałęcz – park). 2:00 p.m. - Bagpipe concert (park – square by the Jarmark). 5:00 p.m. - End of the honorary blood donation campaign (Aleja Gwiazd Sportu). 6:00 p.m. - Water parachute jumping show (Skarpowe Embankment on Słowackiego Street) 9:00 p.m. - Roll call of the deceased (municipal cemetery).
