Contemporary Theatre

Located in one of the buildings of the National Museum complex on the Chrobry Embankment, the theatre has both modern and classic plays in its repertoire. It also organizes workshops and performances for children.

The Contemporary Theater is located at Wały Chrobrego, in one building with the National Museum. There is a direct bus that runs only on weekdays. You can also get to the theater by walking through the Żeromski Park. It is worth remembering that from Wały Chrobrego there is a beautiful view of the Oder and the Right bank of Szczecin.

The Contemporary Theater is one of the most important places on the Szczecin cultural scene. It is also one of the most important theaters in the country. It has three stages, two of them: Duży Scena and Mała Scena "Malarnia" are in the building at Wały Chrobrego. The smallest, intimate stage, called Mały Teatr, is at Bogusława 6 (Bogusława Promenade).

In the theater, you can see mainly contemporary plays, but there are also classic dramas. The repertoire includes numerous innovative, surprising interpretations of famous works. This is largely due to Anna Augustynowicz - artistic director and recognized Polish director. The theater cooperates with many young, brave directors and actors, thanks to which it gains a fresh, innovative approach to art.

The offer of the Contemporary Theater in Szczecin is also directed to the youngest viewers. There are performances for children, workshops (for example, Summer Theater Workshops), educational activities are carried out.
