• Address: Park Fryderyka Chopina, 78-500 Drawsko Pomorskie

The "Megalit" stone semicircle was unveiled in late May 2000 to commemorate the turn of the millennium. The idea came from Eugeniusz Piecewicz, a well-known community activist and history enthusiast from Drawsko Pomorskie. The structure was built from erratic boulders in a form reminiscent of ancient megaliths. A time capsule was placed beneath one of them. Inside are publications, objects, and photographs documenting the lives of the people of Drawsko Pomorskie at the turn of the millennium. A plaque on the central boulder states that the purpose of the “Megalith” is to commemorate the turn of the millennium.
