  • Organizer (name of institution or first and last name): Goleniowski Dom Kultury
For thirty-five years, the Goleniów Cultural Center has been the organizer of the Color Art International Festival of Fine Arts. It is a source of extraordinary experiences and wonderful encounters, but also our mission and a source of true joy. Since 1997, the festival has been held under the honorary patronage of the Polish National Commission for UNESCO. In 2024, UNICEF Poland, ORPEG—the Center for the Development of Polish Education Abroad, Olgierd Geblewicz, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Mayor of Goleniów Municipality also joined the group of patrons. The first stage of the festival is an international art competition, open to children and young people aged 6 to 17 from around the world. This year, from among over 2,000 entries submitted from nineteen countries, the jury selected the most interesting works, which, as every year, will be presented at an exhibition in the Goleniów library. The authors of the 24 winning entries—along with their guardians—are invited to participate in art workshops, which constitute the main prize in the competition. Participation in the Color Art workshops is not only a prize but, above all, a unique experience. It is an opportunity to work under the guidance of outstanding specialists, as well as to develop passions and build relationships. This year’s program will include, among other things, journalism and film workshops, meetings with psychologists, and the main workshop held on the beach, during which teams of children and their guardians will create four “colorful windows to the world.” There will also be plenty of time for shared moments—flying kites, observing the sky through a telescope, or enjoying an evening outdoor movie. In 2026, both the art competition and the entire festival are held under the theme “A Recipe for Happiness.” In Goleniów, we explore the word “happiness” in all its forms, believing that it can be found everywhere—within ourselves, in others, and in the world around us. Festival participants—children, teenagers, and their guardians—take direct part in the workshops. We invite everyone to observe the process of creating the art installations.
