Join us for the Battle for the Cow 2026 Piotr Feliński, Mayor of Świdwin, and the Świdwin Cultural Center “Zamek” invite residents and tourists to the next edition of the spectacular historical event “The Battle for the Cow,” which will take place in Świdwin. The event draws on one of the most famous legends and historical tales associated with the town. The program includes both knightly reenactments and numerous educational attractions, as well as workshops showcasing traditional crafts. Event schedule: 1:00 p.m. – Welcome for the team from Białogard at the train station and a march through the town’s streets to the battlefield 2:00 p.m. – Start of the tournament competitions 4:00 p.m. – end of the competition and award ceremony for the winners From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., numerous accompanying attractions will take place in Podzamcze: workshops on traditional textile techniques, pottery workshops, medieval dance workshops, calligraphy workshops, weaving workshops, falconry demonstrations, a presentation of historical instruments, a chance to try knight-style barley soup, a demonstration of medieval coin minting, riddles from the bestiary, stories from the ends of the earth. “The Battle for the Cow” is a unique opportunity to learn about the history of Świdwin, meet reenactors, and actively participate in workshops designed for children and adults. The organizers encourage residents to join in this extraordinary journey back to the Middle Ages. We cordially invite you to the grounds of Świdwin Castle.
