Historical Festival in Chełm Górny

The “Wspólnota Serc – Chełm Górny” Association, together with the Village Council of Chełm Górny, cordially invites you to a cultural and educational event—the Historical Festival—which will take place in Chełm Górny on July 18 of this year. The main theme of this year’s event is to introduce residents and visitors to the figure of Henning von Treskow, who was connected to the Von Trescow family residing in neighboring Chełm Dolny. As a key figure in the German anti-Nazi resistance movement and one of the principal architects of Operation Valkyrie, he has gone down in history as a symbol of courage and an uncompromising struggle against totalitarianism. By organizing this festival, we aim to explore local heritage, share unique insights about the region, and strengthen the tourism and historical potential of the Trzcińsko-Zdrój Municipality. The event program includes, among other things: lectures and themed exhibitions, as well as outdoor and educational activities for families with children. We warmly invite everyone to join us.
