  • Location:

Międzyzdroje, the district of Kamień Pomorski. It is located in the central part of the beach, nearby an amphitheatre.

The history of the pier in Międzyzdroje started in 1885. It was then a not large wooden jetty, extended in 1906, when the wooden structure was 300 metres long (according other sources - 370). During the Great War, it was blown up by sappers and it was rebuilt in 1920 as a 200 meter long structure.

Repeatedly destroyed by storms and adverse weather conditions, the pier was closed in the second half of the 1980s and the platform was pulled down. In 1994, the construction of a new pier began; it was divided into two stages and eventually finished in 2004.

Nowadays, the pier in Międzyzdroje is 395 metres long and is one of the longest in Europe. It is made of reinforced concrete and has the status of a harbour for tourist ships sailing out to Świnoujście and to German seaside towns of Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf.
