The District Court building in Goleniów was built in the late 19th century. Construction began in 1897, and the building was already put into use in 1898. In the first years after the war, until 1954, the building served as city hall (Goleniów’s city hall was destroyed in 1945 and was never rebuilt); it then served as the headquarters of the County and Municipal Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. Today, it houses the District Court. In 2009, the facade was sandblasted, and halogen lighting was installed along the sidewalk.
