• Address: Storrady Świętosławy 2, 71-602 Szczecin

The former gardener’s house is known to the residents of Szczecin—somewhat incorrectly—as the gravedigger’s cottage. It was built in 1928 for the cemetery gardener. In the 18th century, the site of today’s Żeromski Park was home to a cemetery for French residents of the city. The cottage was inhabited by gardeners until 1937.

In 2002, completely dilapidated, it was handed over to the“Klub Storrady”Association for the Enrichment and Development ofCultural and SocialLifein Szczecin. Thanks to the association, the house was renovated, and today it hosts various cultural events.

The wooden cottage, tucked away among the park’s trees, can be an attraction not only for visitors but also for the city’s residents. Unfortunately, it is not open to the public; you can only enter during events held there or by prior telephone appointment. You can always view it from the outside, and given its location and charming atmosphere, it’s worth seeking out the cottage among the park’s trees.
