• Address: Wały Chrobrego, 70-500 Szczecin

The monument was designed by Ludwik Manzel, a sculptor highly valued in Szczecin. It was established in 1912. It is a free interpretation of the mythical struggle between Hercules and Centaur. Both characters presented by the author are bald. The author captures the decisive moment of the fight in the presentation of two sculptures. Naked Hercules embraces an opponent who is getting ready to deliver a powerful blow. The centaur is unaware that the hero is about to knock him down, eventually emerging victorious in the duel. The sculpture, together with the pedestal, measures over 3 m.
