The building of the former town hall is situated in the very centre of Drawsko Pomorskie, around 50 m from Konstytucji 3-go Maja [Constitution of May 3] Square, at 5 Ratuszowa Street. The building is easy to find and there are many parking spaces in the vicinity.

The original town hall was built at the time of incorporation of the town, i.e. at the beginning of the fourteenth century, and it was situated in the centre of the market square, the present Konstytucji 3-go Maja [Constitution of May 3] Square. Unfortunately the building was completely destroyed as a result of a fire of 1620. The building was reconstructed in 1707. Sadly, 139 years later it was in a very bad technical condition. The building, which was at risk of a collapse, became a subject of serious disagreement between town council members. Some councillors wanted the building to be renovated and adjusted to its purpose anew. Eventually, a decision was made to pull down the old building and transfer the seat of the council to a new residential tenement building acquired in 1837 and situated at 5 Ratuszowa Street. The exact date of construction of the building is unknown. The building served as a town hall until 1945. After the war the building was used for residential purposes. Over the years it had been subject to many conversions and, as a result, it lost its classicistic shape. At the beginning of the twentieth century the building was provided with a staircase in the courtyard. The wooden turret, which did not survive to this day, was probably constructed at the end of the nineteenth century. A major renovation, as a result of which the building lost its original shape, took place in 1957 when the attic was converted into living space and the roof was provided with new extensions. Before 1945 the courtyard included a carriage house and farm outbuildings which were pulled down in the 1970s. Currently the building comprises 7 flats. The main entrance in the form of double doors situated on the west side of the front elevation is worth attention. The jerkin head and gambrel roof and the front elevation with cornices and trapezoidal window heads are also interesting. In 2010 new roofing was installed.
