Stołeczna is a large village that has retained its oval shape. In the Middle Ages, the village belonged to the von Ellingen family; from the second half of the 15th century until the end of World War II, Stołeczna was owned by the von Sydow family.
In the central part of the village stands a church built of granite blocks at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The church was rebuilt after being destroyed in 1768—a Baroque tower was added during the renovation.
In the southern part of Stołeczna, there are former farm buildings, including a palace built in 1892. The building was erected on the site of a previous half-timbered manor house. The two-story palace, whose design draws on Art Nouveau architecture, has a total area of 1,709.5 square meters. Distinctive features of the building include projecting risalits, a terrace, a cylindrical turret, and a single-axis tower. The roof is covered with “karpiówka” tiles, and the domes of the tower and turret are finished with copper.
Several original details have been preserved in the building—including iron fittings, wooden staircase trim, columns, and ornate ceilings. The interior of the palace is in good condition; according to the owner, it requires minor renovation work. The manor is privately owned; in March 2015, the property, along with the surrounding park (plot area: 66,442 square meters), was put up for sale at a price of 2,700,000 PLN. The palace was added to the list of historic monuments in July 1987.
The palace is surrounded by a landscape park covering an area of 11.6 hectares. The garden was established in the 19th century; large clearings are located in the center, and the park has been significantly damaged by the cutting down of old-growth trees.
