A boat with a bunker

A weir designed to raise the water level of the Piława River and enhance its defensive capabilities as a barrier to people and vehicles along a stretch of over 2 km (from the river’s outlet from Lake Długie). A special permanent hydrotechnical structure, linked to a passive shelter, designed specifically for this purpose. Built on the plan of an elongated, irregular rectangle. A reinforced concrete structure with steel elements for regulating water flow. A combat shelter equipped with a single machine gun was built nearby to provide cover for the structure. Inside the shelter: a passageway, two rooms with mechanisms for regulating water discharge.
