Monument to those who did not return from the sea

The design of the monument was initiated by the director of PPiUR “Odra” Juliusz Hebel in the 1980s. An account has been created, collecting funds for its execution. In 1992, when cleaning works began on the square next to the Museum, it was decided to place the monument in the location. On June 24, 1993, during the Days of the Sea, a solemn unveiling took place. This monument is to honor the inhabitants of Świnoujście who were swallowed up by the sea.
