The first records of the village of Krzemlin date back to 1352. It was a fairly large village, comprising 64 łany. From 1498 until the early 19th century, the village belonged to the von Belling family; it then passed into the hands of the von Heyden family. In 1850, the then-owner, Frederik von Heyden, died, and as a result of family ties, the village became the property of the von Sydow family. It remained in their hands until the end of World War II. After the war, the estate and the manor house belonged to the state-owned farm (PGR) and subsequently to the Plant Breeding Station. The last owner of the property in 1998 was the company Poznańska Hodowla Roślin Sp. z o. o.
Krzemlin is home to a farmstead and a manor house. It is not entirely clear exactly when the manor house was built—whether it was during the time when the Belling family owned the property or under the new owner, Friedrich von der Heyden. It is believed that the manor house was constructed in the late 18th or early 19th century. The manor house was built in the Neoclassical style and coversan area of 607.3m². The first major renovation of the building certainly took place in the second half of the 19th century, during which the porch still visible today was added. The most recent renovation was carried out in the 1970s. The manor house as we see it today is a single-story building with a terrace and a columned porch. The facade has 11 axes and features a reconstructed Baroque design. The building is constructed on an elongated rectangular plan with rounded corners and is covered by a high mansard roof with “bull’s-eye” windows and dormers. Stucco decoration consisting of leafy garlands has been preserved on the facade.
Currently, the building is abandoned and secured against vandalism. It can be viewed from the outside.
Farm buildings are located in the vicinity of the palace. Among them are: a distillery from the 1860s, a steward’s house from 1910, a calf barn from 1916, and a blacksmith’s shop from 1920.
The estate is surrounded by a 7.70-hectare manor park, established in the early 19th century. The park features numerous old trees—linden, poplar, maple, and oak. There is also a lake within the park.
