This Neo-Gothic building was created in accordance with a design by H. Deneke in the 19th century. It was built between 1896 and 1897. It is 65 m high and it is the highest building of this sort in Poland. The lower part of the tower is octagonal. The container part is topped with battlements and blinds. The tower however is finished with an octagonal cone. The look of the decorative elevation corresponds with Baszta Morze Czerwone [Red Sea Tower]. Arched windows are surrounded by a wall of glazed brick. The tower maintained constant pressure in the network of the municipal water supplies. The container of the tower has a capacity of 500 m3.
In 2007 the structure was renovated.
Currently it is not possible to visit inside the water tower.
