The post office building was constructed in 1878, and in 1900 it underwent conversion. The building is made of red bricks, and it stands on a stone base. The building is embellished by two columns at the main entrance. The windows on the ground floor are arch-shaped. The windows on the first floor are rectangular. All the windows are framed in a white plaster which provides a nice contrast with the red brick. The elevation features a decorative cornice.
The official opening of the post office building took place in 1878. At the time the office ranked among the most advanced postal facilities in the German Empire. The post office had spacious rooms and modern equipment which facilitated its operation.
The building was renovated and it still serves as a seat of the post office.
