The Prisoners’ Tower is part of the city fortifications and has the simplest design of all the towers in Stargard. It was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries using Wendish and Polish architectural styles. It is topped with battlements (a crenellated crown on the walls and towers). It has the shape of a cylinder 13 meters high, resting on a stone base, with arrowslits on four levels inside. The tower’s name likely derives from its function as a prison.
Currently, it is not possible to tour the interior of the tower due to its structural condition.
