The Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus belongs to a parish administered by the Society of Christ. The rectangular reinforced concrete church was built in the early 20th century in art nouveau style.
The church is in the city center, next to the Kaskada shopping center. Nearby, the hospital of St. Wojciech. Convenient access - a developed public transport network nearby.
The Szczecin Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus belongs to the Szczecin-Śródmieście deanery. Currently, it is associated with the religious congregation of the Society of Christ, founded in 1932 upon the initiative of Cardinal August Hlond. The temple is a three-nave building built on a rectangular plan with a presbytery closed with an apse. The temple has a characteristic shape due to the use of wavy lines in the edges of the roofs, incl. in the porch and above the nave. Another characteristic element is a tall, powerful rectangular tower. There are many small windows in the upper part and on the shorter sides, and several wooden windows in the top. Everything is covered with a metal mansard roof. The body also features a series of chapels in the aisles. Inside the sacred zone, behind the altar table, there is an altar with the scene of the Last Supper, the figures of the Evangelists on the predella and the figure of a pelican in the finial. In addition, in the church on the west side, on the gallery, there is a magnificent organ.
Indulgence: Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
