The half-timbered cottage in Tanowo is the only historic building in the village. It was built in the second half of the 19th century. From the very beginning, it served as a residence and belonged to a single family; at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, it was converted into a two-family home. This fairly large, single-story building remains in use to this day. It stands on a lot surrounded by a low fence, allowing visitors to easily admire the structure. The distinctive building is clearly visible from the road. Its half-timbered construction and excellent condition attract the attention of visitors to the village. On the street side, there are four windows and a wide double-leaf door; the building has a pitched roof. The structure serves as a landmark for the village and is its most recognizable building.
