• Address: 74-510 Chełm Dolny

According to Paul Niessen, a German historian, plans to establish a town in Chełm were already in place as early as the Middle Ages. Over time, these plans were abandoned, and the village split into two smaller settlements—Chełm Dolny and Chełm Górny.

In the central part of Chełm Dolny, there is a 13th-century church built of hewn granite; opposite the church stands a large complex of former farm buildings, and further on, by the lake, there is a 7-hectare landscape park.

The park stretches in a narrow strip; the main road runs along its northern side, and beyond it lies a stretch of meadows and forests. To the west, the park is surrounded by a rich stand of trees. Among the species found here are English oak, field elm, red oak, European beech, mountain elm, European ash, sycamore maple, wild pear, apple, small-leaved linden, black pine, common yew, California fir, and black alder. The tree stand in the central part of the park, which was once the most prominent area, is largely damaged, and some of the ornamental trees have been cut down.

Between the palace and the lake there used to be a clearing, which is now overgrown—it was likely once a garden. In practice, the park constitutes a large green space by the lake; aside from the manor ruins, no other structures have been identified within the park. The landscape park in Chełm Dolny was entered on the provincial list of historic monuments in December 1980.
