The history of Strąpie dates back to the 15th century, when it was part of the estate in Dzików. In the 18th century, the estate was owned by the von Küssow family, while in the first half of the 19th century it belonged to Major von Lebbin. He was the founder of the manor house and the park. The next owners of Strąpie were the Wöller family, under whose stewardship the farm developed very rapidly. The entire farm was connected to a village whose residents were employed on the estate. Among other animals, horses, cattle, and pigs were raised here. To this day, the village features a well-preserved, spatially organized manor complex with a clear layout consisting of the manor house, the park, and farm buildings. All these elements are listed in the register of historic monuments.
The manor house in Strapi was built in the first quarter of the 19th century and subsequently rebuilt in the early 20th century. It is a single-story building with a usable attic, constructed on an elongated rectangular plan. The structure of the manor house is compact, and the entire building is covered by a high mansard roof with dormers. The building is constructed of brick and is plastered. The facade is rather modest, featuring several Neo-Baroque elements and pseudo-projections on the axes along both sides of the manor. The main entrance to the building is preceded by a terrace surrounded by a decorative metal balustrade. Of the manor’s original furnishings, most of the window and door frames have survived, as well as two staircases with decorative balustrades.
The manor-and-palace complex in Strapie is the largest and best-preserved structure of its kind in the Myślibórz County. It forms a cohesive functional, spatial, and compositional whole.
The manor house currently serves as a residence and can only be viewed from the outside.
