The brick church was built at the end of the 18th century – the steeple was added nearly a century later. The temple was partially destroyed during World War II and rebuilt in the late 1950s.
The church is in the central-western part of the city, at Kościelny Square. Nearby there is a bus stop and the Świna Strait.
