Alaris Butterfly Park

In a free-flight hall at a temperature of 30 degrees, 500 butterflies of 150 species can be admired. Since July 2003, alaris has been operating the fourth butterfly park in Germany in Sassnitz on the island of Rügen. One difference to the other alaris butterfly parks is the special light on the coast, the high UV content is very similar to the natural light conditions of South American butterflies in particular. Around 100 different species from four continents can be seen at all times, all of which come from breeding farms, such as bird butterflies, passionflower butterflies and blue morphos. The life cycle of the butterflies from egg to caterpillar and chrysalis to adult butterfly can be observed here. Dwarf quails keep insect pests under control. You can enjoy coffee and cake in the cafeteria. The store sells many butterfly-related souvenirs as well as brochures and posters.
