"On the day before St. John's Day, a girl of marriageable age must pick seven different kinds of flowers at noon, tie a wreath of them and place it under her pillow on St. John's night, then she will see in a dream what kind of husband she will get!" I wonder if you could dream this dream in the Alte Ausspanne in Walkendorf?

Past & present: guests are very welcome!
In the past, wagons had to travel on miserable country roads, which didn't last long. They had to be repaired in the smithy and man and horse also needed rest and safety in such a "breakdown". In those days, many a traveler was hindered in the dark by evil figures and robberies. If it didn't happen, he at least dreamed about it on his straw bed, because beds were only available for special guests.
The route from Hamburg, Güstrow, Demmin and Stettin to Petersburg brought many interesting personalities to the "Alte Ausspanne". Stories are told of Tsar Peter, Wallenstein and Gustav Adolph Wasa. More recently, it was Prince Charles or our Prime Minister.
