The building at 15 Powstańców Warszawskich Street is one of the city’s oldest tenement houses. It is known as Jan of Maszewo’s tenement house, as it once belonged to him. Jan of Maszewo commanded the castle garrison. The tenement house was rebuilt in the 20th century, though its rear Gothic facade has been preserved. The building’s facade is in the Renaissance style. The ornamentation at the top of the building is particularly striking. The building is a corner structure. The ground floor houses shops, while the remaining rooms serve as residential spaces. The tenement is located along a walking path, near Darłowo Castle. There are benches and stylish streetlights here. This section of the street is closed to vehicular traffic; however, cars may pass through the intersection of Powstańców Warszawskich Street with Podzamcze and Morska Streets. Pedestrians have the absolute right of way.
