SUMMER WITH SYDONIA

It has become a tradition that in the first days of summer in the Marianowo Commune, at the charming Marianowo Lake, the cultural event "Summer with Sidonia" takes place, which this year is organized on July 6.
"Summer with Sydonia" owes its name to the famous Pomeranian witch - Sydonia von Borck, who spent many years of her life in the Marianovo monastery, and today is an inseparable symbol of our promotional activities.
The legend of Sydonia, the historic Cistercian monastery complex and the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the beautiful lake, the NATURA 2000 areas attract tourists not only from Poland, but also from all over Europe. We would like to cultivate the legend of beautiful Sidonia and encourage lovers of history, Pomerania, medieval objects to willingly visit our small homeland. A special opportunity to promote the qualities of Marianowo Commune is the "Summer with Sidonia". - an extraordinary celebration of culture, tradition and fun, which has been very popular for years. We will enchant our guests with the atmosphere of magic and uniqueness of this event. We are preparing many attractions, including sports tournaments, a children's zone - an enchanted land of fairy tales and fables, art workshops, performances by local bands and artists, a "witches' rally," fairs, dancing until dawn and many other attractions for both older and youngest participants. There will also be a varied gastronomic offer, headed by local cuisine from our Rural Women's Circles.
