In the southern part of the village, which was once under the rule of the Cistercian Order, there is a vast landscape park. The park’s green spaces cover an area of 22.5 hectares. This 18th-century garden features many magnificent and exotic trees. Among them is a long-tailed linden with a circumference of approximately 440 cm—one of the largest linden trees of this kind in Poland.
Among the rich tree population, you’ll also find Dutch elms—Witnica is home to the largest concentration of these trees. The park also features broad-leaved linden, English oak, maple-leaved plane tree, swamp cypress, single-colored fir, and Douglas fir.
The park was designed by J. Laras of Bydgoszcz.
Next to the park are the ruins of a 19th-century palace that burned down in 1990 and farm buildings dating from 1875. The green spaces are open to the public.
