Civil War battle re-enactment in Gizyna

Every year in the village of Giżyn ( Nowogródek Pomorski commune , Myśliborski district) on the last weekend of July, a reenactment of one of the Civil War battles takes place - July 26-28, 2024.

This is because the village is the burial site of Heros von Borcke, a cavalry officer who served in the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War. The annual outdoor show is always preceded by a commemoration of Heros von Borcke.

We invite all enthusiasts of historical events to participate in this unique event, which will begin on July 26, while the main festivities with the battle re-enactment will take place on July 27, 2024.
