The manor complex was built in the 16th century on the site of a medieval castle. Remnants of the medieval structure can be seen in the manor’s cellars. The building wasrebuilt twice, in the 18th and 19th centuries. The manor complex includes servants’ quarters and guardhouses, as well as a manor park. The founder of the first fortified residence in Strzmiele was Borko II, the castellan of Kołobrzeg. During the Teutonic Wars, the castellan’s residence was destroyed. In the 15th century, a new castle was built, surrounded by a wall, ramparts, a moat, and an outer bailey. Until the early 18th century, the castle served as the seat of the von Bork family. Later, the estate passed into the hands of Ernst von Edling. The new owner converted the fortified residence into a Baroque palace. The palace was adorned with a beautiful courtyard, where single-story pavilions were erected. The manor house, meanwhile, was built in the northern part of the courtyard on the site of the former castle. Toward the end of the 18th century, the manor underwent another reconstruction, during which the walls were demolished down to the basement level. A new manor house was also erected, with a silhouette reminiscent of a feudal residence. The manor house was built on a rectangular plan. It was a single-story structure with a deep basement and an attic covered by a mansard roof. The entrance to the manor house was framed by rusticated pilasters and a keystone arch. The palace was rebuilt again in the mid-19th century. At that time, the external staircase was removed, and a veranda was built at the entrance. The entrances to the cellars were bricked up. New entrances were placed in the window opening on the eastern side of the former entrance. The northern garden facade was rebuilt. A single-story annex with a terrace was also added. The interior layout was also altered. The Loeper family became the next owners of the estate. After World War II, the manor was transferred to the Radowo Małe Municipal Office. Until the 1960s, the manor served as a residence. During this time, the manor fell into disrepair. In 1987, the estate was taken over by the State Archives in Szczecin. The building underwent a thorough renovation and restoration, which gave it its current architectural form, reminiscent of 18th-century Baroque structures.
