Sailing Centre

The Sailing Centre offers mooring places and organized sports activities for children and youth. There is also a kayak rental shop. The facility is available for private functions – there is a conference room, as well as food and beverage facilities.

A year-round marina that serves two functions: as a marina and as a training center for children and young people. It is a city harbour picturesquely situated among old trees in the Natura 2000 Conservation Area on Lake Dąbie. Berths are located at floating and fixed jetties. At the quay, there is water and electricity available on a pre-payment system. Yachtsmen can take advantage of the new toilets and it is possible to pitch a tent or park a camper-van. The area is fenced off and has an area for camp fires. You can also rent a kayak here. The sailing Centre offers 24 hour service. The marina has a slip on which boats weighing up to 800 kg can be launched. Heavier boats are operated by a crane that can lift up to 6.4 tons. This is the perfect place to relax with the family. Here you can find an interesting educational trail which is especially attractive for children, a great ‘wheel of fortune’ general knowledge quiz and childfriendly puzzles. The marina has a large conference room for about 100 people, which can be divided into two smaller rooms, equipped with audio- and multimedia, as well as a catering canteen and a large tent, where indoor events can be organized. The marina serves as a public educational institution. Sailing courses are held here throughout the year. Children from the the age of seven, as well as young people, may take part in these courses. Small yachts, kayaks, windsurfing boards and several sea-going vessels are available here. The marina also offers professional sailing courses and organizes entertainment events and meetings with interesting people. The Sailing Centre is well-connected to the nearest district of the city ‘Dąbie’. The shops, health centres, pharmacies, and train station are less than a kilometre away. You can get there by bus or by bike as a safe cycle path runs alongside the street. Nearby are maritime shops where you can buy necessary equipment for sailing and repair and maintenance, as well as other necessities such as cables, lines, or other small items.
