Koszalin, 4 Kolejowa St. Station of the Koszalin Narrow Gauge Railway, the beginning of the route of the historic railroad, launched in 1898. The Koszalin Narrow Gauge Railway is the only surviving railroad of its kind in the Koszalin region, its route once covered 120 km and connected numerous towns in the region. The historic narrow-gauge railway station in Koszalin is open to the public, where there is a museum chamber. Here you can also purchase original memorabilia related to the railroad or obtain information. An attraction of the Koszalin narrow-gauge railway is its historic rolling stock: 100-year-old wagons and the more than 70-year-old Px 48 steam locomotive, the only one in working order in Poland on a 1000mm-wide track. The steam locomotive runs trains on a 20-kilometer-long charming route to the well-known resort town of Rosnowo. Cyclists transport their vehicles for free in a special narrow-gauge carriage. They can also use the stops located on the route to Rosnowo. Rosnowo is an excellent base for further excursions: for example, in the Manowo municipality, around Rosnowskie Lake, visit the area of the historic hydroelectric power plant, or go in the direction of the Bead Ponds located in the Tychowo municipality.
