The trip can be completed in several ways. You can follow the route starting from Koszalin (a loop of approx. 80 km) or start in Rosnow (accessible by narrow-gauge railway from Koszalin), continue to Stawy Paciorkowe and return along Lake Hajka and a section of the Old Railway Trail bicycle route connecting to Koszalin (approx. 62 km). The third option is to get to / from Rosnow on the narrow-gauge railway and there make a circle to Stawy Paciiorkowych (over 36 km).

The narrow-gauge railway departs from Koszalin, stops in Bonin and Manowo, and ultimately stops in Rosnowo. The biggest attraction is the depot driven by a historic steam locomotive. It was renovated on site through the efforts of the Koszalin Narrow Gauge Railway Association. The railway does not run daily, the timetable can be found at: http://waskotorowka.koszalin.pl The Koszalin Narrow Gauge Railway is in our network of Bicycle Friendly Places, and if that wasn't enough, it takes bicycles for free.

If we want to ride the whole loop, we start in Koszalin, heading towards Manowo on an asphalt bicycle road running along national road No 11. Then, we go from Manowo to Rosnowo along a forest road made of aggregate, on which we will not meet any cars, but dozens of cyclists, and if it is autumn, also mushroom pickers. We enter Rosnowo along a path leading parallel to the narrow-gauge railway track. The last section runs along a scenic earth dam damming up the waters of Rosnowskie Lake. In Rosnowo, we can take a break at the bathing beach on Lake Rosnowskie, where there is also a narrow-gauge railway stop, roofed shelters, a place for a bonfire, a playground and a pier. Continue along the local road, from where you turn off into the forest onto a road made of evenly paved concrete slabs to Pobadzie and then along local roads through Tyczewo to Stawy Paciorkowe.

In Rosnowo, we can take a break at the bathing site on Lake Rosnowskie, where there is also a stop of the narrow-gauge railway, roofed shelters, a place for a bonfire, a playground and a pier. From Rosnowo, continue along the local road, from where you turn into the forest on a road made of evenly paved concrete slabs to Pobadzie and then along local roads through Tyczewo to Stawy Paciorkowe, where it is worth planning a longer stopover. The water retention facility comprises 12 reservoirs connected to each other by dikes. The difference in level between the first and last pond is 16 m. In the area, it is possible to take a rest in several landscaped resting areas with benches. From the ponds, follow the beaten forest road to Buków and then through the village of Czaple (a section of the road with ‘cobblestones’). Outside Czaple village, take the local road to Rosnow and from there follow the forest road to a charming place at Hajka Lake, the so-called ‘bay’. There it is also worth planning a short break (swimming area and benches). An entrance fee is charged in high season.

Continue along a partly forest and asphalt road (off road) to an asphalt bicycle path (approx. 12 km) along voivodeship road 167, which will take you to the Koszalin turnpike (part of the Old Railway Trail - connector). Along the way, a little off to the side, we will pass the Amber Palace in Strzekęcin. A place where you can spend the night or have something to eat. In Strzekęcin it is worth turning off the route to Lake Czarne (approx. 1.5 km from the road) to see or bathe in the lake, which owes its colour to the naturally occurring peat. Lake Czarne is also a fishing ground (a fishing permit must be purchased). An entrance fee is charged in high season.
