In Bierzwnik, there is a post-Cistercian monastery complex that is one of the stops on the so-called Cistercian Trail. The former monastery now serves as the seat of the Parish of Our Lady of the Scapular. The ruins of the Gothic brewery are a mysterious 14th-century building situated right on the lake near the monastery.
It is a three-story brick structure. Its foundation measures 33 m x 15.5 m, suggesting that it must have been truly imposing. In the 1980s, the building’s gable was destroyed; today, only the walls remain. The monument is known as the Gothic brewery, though it was most likely previously a guesthouse or a hospital—the exact purpose of the building is unknown. After World War II, it fell into ruin.
