The villa was built in 1928 for the industrialist Emil Kruger. It was constructed in the historicist style with Art Deco elements, which were extremely popular at the time the building was erected. The two styles are somewhat at odds with each other, yet together they create a symmetrical building form, constructed from materials that were then inaccessible to the poorer segments of society. The design of the facade reflects a Historicist influence. When viewing the building, it is worth noting the geometric arrangement of the windows and pilasters, as well as the interesting portico at the building’s center. The villa was built according to a design by the Szczecin architect Schul. In 1939, the villa changed hands; Gebhard Holtz became the new owner. The villa survived the war but remained abandoned until the 1960s. It was only then that the Provincial Allergy Clinic was established there. Like the Ippen Villa, the Kruger Villa is one of the most recently built villas in Szczecin’s former Westend district and is listed as a historic landmark. The founder of the company that purchased the land for the construction of the new district was Johannes Quistorp, who ran the business together with his son and his friend August Horn.
