Archaeological excavations have shown that the surrounding lands were already inhabited as early as the 10th–8th centuries B.C.E. and during the Early Middle Ages. In 13th-century sources, the village is referred to as Isinger. It can be stated with a high degree of certainty that by the 15th century, it belonged to the von der Leine family of knights, who had come from the Leine River in the Duchy of Brunswick. In 1323, the Cistercians of Kołbacz attempted to take possession of Nieborów. To this end, they forged a document purportedly issued in 1226 by Barnim I, transferring the village to them. However, their attempt to fraudulently acquire the village failed. In the 15th century, part of the village was transferred to support the operation of the Holy Spirit Hospital in Pyrzyce. A church was built in the village during this time. In 1853, Zygmunt Schlichting, the composer of the “Tetyna Crusade Polka,” better known as the “Szczecin Polka,” was born in Nieborów.

In 1827 and 1828, a fire consumed nearly the entire area of Nieborów. In addition to homes, the village lost its school and church tower. The reconstruction of the farmsteads lasted until 1842. At that time, cottages were built, some of which have survived to the present day. Particularly worth seeing are the houses numbered 33 (the Kasprzak family) and 34 (the Dzikowska family). These are single-story buildings with attics. The walls of the houses were constructed using the half-timbered technique, also known as the Prussian wall. The wooden framework, which also serves as a decorative element, was filled with bricks. The houses are privately owned. They can be viewed from the outside, from the front of the property, and are clearly visible.
