The Griffin Monument was erected in 1972. Its designer is Leonia Chmielnik, who collaborated with Anna Paszkiewicz on the implementation. Artists from Szczecin jointly created a sculpture in the courtyard of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, from where it was later moved to the renovated town hall. The Griffin is supported on its hind legs while lifting the chest and front legs. On the pedestal, there is the inscription: THE SOCIETY OF SZCZECIN'S FRIENDS ON THE XXVIII ANNIVERSARY OF LIBERATION. The total height of the monument with the base is 445 cm.
