The post office building was erected in the late 19th century. It is a two-story stone building constructed in the Historicist style. It draws primarily on Neoclassical forms, as evident in its façade. The builders and architects of the building remain unknown. From the very beginning, the building served both commercial and residential purposes. In the 1970s, the building underwent a thorough renovation. The second story of the building is connected to the second story of the adjacent town hall.

The building has the form of a horizontal cuboid topped by a high gable roof. The architectural composition of the building was based on the axial arrangement of window and door openings. On the facade, the windows are grouped into three sections. On the second floor, the gable-end windows feature architectural frames in the form of flanking pilasters connected by flattened fronts. The central windows are separated by similar pilasters. The window openings are adorned with profiled cornices and bands connecting them. This architectural detail is typical of commercial buildings from this period.

The building’s interiors have lost their historical character and have been adapted for use by the post office, which is headquartered in the building.
