Opened in 1925, the Municipal Stadium is the home field of Polish top-division football club Pogoń Szczecin. Outside the game days, the stadium is open to the public. There are training pitches and a skatepark nearby.
The facility is in the Pogodno district, close to the center. Access by public transport using tram lines 5 and 7 (Karłowicza stop) and bus lines 75 (Witkiewicza Szkoła stop) and 67 (Poniatowskiego). There is a parking lot for 700 cars next to the stadium.
The history of the facility began in 1914, when the closed gravel pit was converted into a football field. In 1925, a stadium with a capacity of 15,000 seats was put into use, which, apart from a full-size pitch, also included an athletics track. At the end of World War II, the area of the stadium was used by the German army as an anti-aircraft defense point. Reconstruction after the destruction of the war began in 1949, and in 1955 the stadium became the seat of the MKS Pogoń Szczecin club, which still plays its matches there. In its history, the building has undergone many modernizations, including the south stand and the arch that were raised, and the track surrounding the pitch was removed. The stands (as the first in Poland) were fully equipped with plastic chairs. Currently, the stadium has 18,027 seats, 2300 lux lighting and a heated field with dimensions of 105 x 68 m. Since 2004, it has been named after a distinguished coach, activist, and youth educator Florian Krygier. In the immediate vicinity of the stadium, there are four full-size training pitches and a skate park.
The facility is open, except for matches played by Pogoń Szczecin
