The medieval settlement in Borków is a remarkable place where adults and children alike can experience history firsthand. Here, sculptor Adam Bryl transforms into the lord of Bryłów—the warrior of Bork. Visitors to the settlement can learn about traditional crafts: blacksmithing, weaving, and pottery. In addition, they can watch how flour and flatbread are made and test their combat and archery skills. The host and the settlement’s residents wear period costumes, and in the evening, they invite visitors to listen to stories by the campfire. The Borkowo settlement also features a device for administering punishment—the stocks—as well as a collection of old tools, weapons, and pottery. During their stay at the settlement, everyone can try on medieval armor. In the summer, usually in August, the “Medieval Harvest” festival is held, during which visitors can witness traditional grain harvesting methods (including mowing with a scythe, reaping with a sickle, and threshing) combined with a communal feast. Interested tourists can actively participate in the demonstrations. A visit to the settlement in Borków offers an engaging way for families with children and organized groups to spend their time. There is a campground on the settlement grounds. Designated parking spaces are available in front of the settlement.
