65 female and male artists from 9 countries from Europe and Asia, 33 readings as part of 12 main events, 3 evening concerts, debates and talks and a finale with the presentation of festival prizes as part of the beach stage, as well as 260 hours of activities conducted by 42 people in 30 workshops, training and educational studios with the participation of 350 female and male participants qualified from nearly 600 applications - this is the 29th edition of TransPort Literary Festival in a nutshell. edition of Literary TransPort, the metrically oldest, but still youngest in spirit, literary festival in Poland, which, under the motto "The Future of Literature," will take place between June 6 and 9 in Kolobrzeg. One of the world's most recognized feminist poets, Hiromi ITŌ from Japan, will appear as a special guest, whose first selection of poems in Poland, Killing Kanoko, translated by Anna Zalewska, will hit bookstores on June 10. The festival audience will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of the last seven authors from the "New European literary canon." This group includes children's writer Rūta BRIEDE (Latvia), poets Doireann NÍ GHRÍOFA (Ireland) and Ieva TOLEIKYTĖ (Lithuania), poet Dimityr KENAROV (Bulgaria), novelists Rumena BUŽAROVSKA (Macedonia) and Lisa KRÄNZLER (Germany), and novelist Bjørn RASMUSSEN (Denmark).
The official part of the festival will open with an essay on the future of literature by Inga IWASIÓW, who will also present Views from the Window on a Business Trip in the premiere series "TransNova Book." She will be accompanied by Joanna Roszak with a compendium on the relationship between literature and movies and TV series - Poetry in Episodes. Poems in the Age of Netflix. The conversation with the authors will be moderated by Justyna SOBOLEWSKA. On the next day, in the same series, we will get acquainted with books that focus, among others, on the subject of women's roles in today's society - A Selection of Stand-Ups by Justyna BARGIELSKA, Trule by Joanna MUELLER and Kryptodom by Katarzyna SZAULIÑSKA. The literary events of the first and second day on the stage of the Regional Cultural Center will begin with readings of "New Poetic and Prose Voices from Poland," and "Music of the Word" will also return with readings from premiere books: Roman HONET (Nobody's Memory, My Body), Grzegorz KWIATKOWSKI (Riddle), Przemysław OWCZARK (Catavotra), Julia SZYCHOWIAK (To the Inside), Grzegorz WRÓBLEWSKI (Ra). The author of the musical setting of all readings this year will be Malina MIDERA - the youngest artist in this role in the history of the festival.
