Panorama Palace was built in 1861 as the headquarters of the Stargard Marksmen’s Guild. It was known as the Schutzenhaus—the marksmen’s house. Previously, another building stood on this site, which was destroyed by a fire in 1860. The current brick building was constructed according to a design by master mason Ludwig Braatz I.

During World War I, the palace housed a military hospital, and in the interwar period, it served as a casino, a café, and a shooting range, where the shooting qualifiers for the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin were held. In the 1950s, it belonged to the League of National Defense, and the “Panorama” movie theater was located in the east wing. For 11 years, the theater also served as a concert hall. In 1970, the roof of the theater hall collapsed; the wing was closed, and in 1988, it was demolished.

In 2003, the palace was purchased by private investors, completely renovated, and reopened in 2005 as a venue for family, social, and cultural events.

Panorama Palace is a stately, multi-story building with two wings. The building’s facade is adorned with a risalit, and its ground floor features a five-arch portico. The palace is situated in a magnificent park, which features, among other trees, old linden trees.

Parking is available next to the palace for a dozen or so cars.

Admission to the park is free and open to everyone, while the palace can be toured by prior telephone appointment with the owners.
