On 11–15 September 2025, a study visit was held for representatives of cycling media from the Netherlands. The aim of the meeting was to present the network of long-distance cycling routes in Western Pomerania and the international EuroVelo routes. The cycling trip began in Szczecin, from where the participants set off on the Around the Szczecin Lagoon Route, and then continued their journey along Velo Baltica (EV 10/13), a section of the international Baltic Sea and Iron Curtain cycling routes. The trip ended in Kołobrzeg.
Provincial authorities, together with the most important institutions responsible for infrastructure in Poland, have begun joint efforts to develop a network of bicycle routes. On the second day of the Convention of Provincial Marshals of the Republic of Poland in Sulejów, a "Bicycle Declaration" was signed. The document provides for the creation of a uniform, safe system of bicycle routes throughout the country and its integration into the European network.
During this year's summer holidays, we managed to break the record for the number of trips in a single day, which currently stands at 21,330 cyclists. However, you eagerly used our routes throughout the entire holiday period. Let's take a closer look at what tourist traffic looked like in the West Pomeranian Province in July and August.

The cycle route between Nowe Warpno and Rieth (Germany) will be available again to residents and tourists from 6 August this year. This is the result of a regulation published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland concerning changes related to border controls. Olgierd Geblewicz, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province, appealed for the restoration of this route.
On 12 June 2025, during the international Velo-city conference in Gdansk, the Polish Tourist Organisation submitted an official application to the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) for the creation of the National EuroVelo Coordination Centre (NECC). It is a breakthrough moment for the development of cycling tourism in Poland and an important step towards full integration into the European network of cycling routes.

We invite you to read a conversation with Magdalena Bielińska, creator of the vlog Dookoła Koszalina (Around Koszalin) and mother of two children: Mikołaj (10 years old) and Marika (7 years old), who has cycled many kilometres with her children and undertaken journeys at all stages of their growing up: through cycling with her children in a bike trailer, on a cross-country bike (carried on a trailer), with a child seat around town and with her children on their own bikes.
The Berlin-Szczecin-Kołobrzeg cycle route is one of six sections to be built in the region in the coming years with cyclists in mind. It will be a unique, cross-border tourist product. On Friday, February 21, 2025, a conference was held in Szczecin to present the details of the project.
Join us for an insightful workshop tailored to businesses looking to learn more about cycling tourism and become a cycling-friendly service. This session will introduce the EuroVelo network and how cycling tourism is an opportunity for service providers. It will then share information on who the cycling tourists and what are there needs. This will lead us into the last section which will present tips as to better cater for the needs of cycling tourists as a service provider.
The “Tourism Marketing” workshop will be led by Pawel Tkaczyk - marketing and branding expert, author of books on marketing, blogger and multiple speaker at TEDx and other conferences. The class will focus on branding and modern digital marketing in the context of attraction to bicycle tourism. The importance of quality service and the heritage of the Iron Curtain Trail as attractors for bicycle tourists using the route will also be presented.
